The Great: Is There A Release Date?

“The Great” is returning to streaming service Hulu with Season 2 this fall. The new episodes will be released on November 19th.

The Great: Trailer And Pictures

Now a new trailer for season 2 has been released. It shows how Katharina is made tsarina and given the nickname “The Great”. Then the power struggle between her and Peter seems to escalate slowly.

The Great Season 2: What Is The Plot?

As the US magazine Entertainment Weekly reports, Season 2 of the series will be about what Katharina has gained with her power.

“I think the plot is shifting and all the characters have to adjust in season two to get into a position where they have some power,” McNamara told EW.

Orlo and Marial gained power through Katharina’s rise. Elizabeth, on the other hand, is still caught between Katharina and her nephew. She is like a daughter to her, but she also worries about Peter.

Katharina’s pregnancy will also play a significant role in season 2.

“We’ve always said it’s kind of a ticking bomb because she feels safe from Peter while pregnant, and she’s safe from another coup attempt because she has the heir to the throne, but she’s also becoming the first Time mother,” says McNamara.
