THESE ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT I SUBMITTED TO PARLIAMENT FOR ANSWER BY THE VARIOUS MINISTERS OF GOVERNMENT

 1. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8): To ask the Minister of National Security (a) if the report of the inquiry of the police sit out has been received (b) Whether he would consider tabling it in Parliament so that the lessons of the inquiry can be learnt by members of Parliament (c) Would he also list the recommendations of the inquiry if any?

2. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8): To ask the Minister with responsibility for Roads (a) if a copy of the inquiry into the collapse of the Bridge that collapsed during the construction of the West Basseterre by-pass road has been received by him (b)if the Government has incurred any liability as a result of the collapse (c) if he is aware of any compensation been paid in respect of any loss or injury sustained as a result of the collapse of the bridge (d) if not would he undertake to make a statement to Parliament on the matter at the next sitting of Parliament?

3. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8):* To ask the Minister of Education (a) if he is aware that the Cayon High School has two buildings, (one wooden and one constructed around a corrugated steel frame) that have become so deteriorated, that both are significant hazards to the health and safety of the children attending that school (b) If he would agree that for the safety of the children those buildings should be demolished and replaced with new structures?

4. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8): To ask the Minister of Education (a) if he would explain why the Social Studies Test of Standards exam had to be postponed (b) if the reason was as a result of a shortage of materials (c) why is it that the children and the proctors only found out that the exam had to be postponed while seated and waiting to proceed on Thursday June 17th, that was the date of the examination?

5. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8)* To ask if the Minister of Finance (a) To provide us with the Cumulative Sum, already spent or incurred by Government in trying to develop the La-Valley Golf Course (b) If he can explain why after so many years and such huge expenditure, that development has not been completed?

6. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8): To ask the Minister with responsibility for Roads (a) if he would be so kind and tell us the original contract price of the West Basseterre by-pass road (b) If he will provide this Assembly with the projected cost of completing that road?

7. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8) To ask the Minister of Agriculture (a) if he is aware that since the closure of the Sugar Industry life has not been the same for former Sugar Industry workers (b) If he would consider asking the Minister of Lands to make some areas available for former sugar workers to plant a potato row this year?

8. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8): To ask the Minister of Community Affairs (a) if she has visited the Community center in St. Peters since her appointment as Minister (b) If she has recognized that the center is in desperate need of repairs (c) If she can tell us whether she intends to include it in her budget plan for the year 2011 if she continues to be the minister of Community affairs?

9. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8):* To ask the Minister of Finance to explain (a) how many buildings Government is renting/leasing for use by Government Departments (b) if there are additional buildings for rent/lease being contemplated this year (c) what is the cumulated Annual rent paid on each of those buildings already being rented/leased (d) What is the agreed sum for rent/lease of that/those building(s) that are current being sought for the Government to occupy? 

10. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8)* To ask the Minister with responsibility for Electricity (a) to provide this Honorable House with the cumulative Annual cost of renting Generators that provide Electricity services in St. Kitts (b) if he would indicate which Company/Organization/Individual is providing those Generators (c) For how long has the Generators been rented to date?

11. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8): To ask the Minister of Finance if he would tell us (a) when was the order made for the four Generators of which he spoke at the last sitting of Parliament (b) If he could also tell us from whom and/or where the Generators are being bought (c) what is the expected time of the arrival of those Generators in the Federation?

12. Eugene Hamilton (Constituency 8): * To ask the Prime Minister (a) if he would undertake the task of implementing a plan to indemnify public servants for loss damage or liability incurred as a result of his/her employment with the Government?
